Dr. Lena Magardechian, PSYD-MFT is a Adjunct Professor teaching the PSY 642 class called, Mental Health Systems, Practice & Advocacy. The course is heavily focused on using MAC , alongside with the WAC , as examples of advocacy/social justice work in the field Marriage and Family Therapy/Psychology/LPCC/Social Work.

Since 2024, the Men’s Advocacy Club (WAC) and the Armenian American Mental Health Association (AAMHA) have collaborated to promote mental health awareness, education, advocacy, and community connection within the Armenian American community. Through shared outreach, educational initiatives, professional networking, and support of mental health conversations, the organizations have worked to amplify Armenian voices, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and connect individuals and families with greater awareness and resources.
